Thanksgiving is just around the corner! Although you should never feel ‘guilty’ for enjoying this indulgent holiday, there are ways you can make some healthier choices (if you choose). Small modifications include both watching sugary and alcohol intake as well as swapping out ingredients where appropriate (i.e.: Greek yogurt instead of sour cream, baking instead of frying, etc.). You can also try filling half your plate with veggie and salad options and leave the rest for protein and starches. Eating mindfully will help you avoid overeating and finding time for daily movement will allow you to kickstart your metabolism!

Remember this holiday is about connection and gratitude. While the focus often turns to food, taking small steps to make healthier choices can help you enjoy the festivities without feeling overindulgent. By being mindful of your portions, staying active, and making a few light adjustments to classic dishes, you can savor each part of the holiday while also looking after your well-being.
