History of IRG

In the mid 1990s, the physical therapy climate was saturated with large corporations and managed care organizations.

Opening a private practice at the time was almost unheard of. Despite the challenges, Shannon O’Kelley was convinced that the combination of high-quality patient care and conveniently located clinics would offer patients an amazing alternative. After several years in a partnership overseeing another group of PT clinics, Shannon met with a PPS colleague and founded Integrated Rehabilitation Group (IRG) on a napkin over gin and tonics.

Success didn’t come easy at first – but with an unwavering commitment to high quality patient care, convenient hours and locations, and contagious, upbeat, positive energy – word started to spread.

As IRG continued to expand and thrive, so did the need for a centralized administration team, including billing, human resources, marketing, and operations. This solid infrastructure attracted LLC partners and encouraged continued growth as opportunities arose for new locations.

As of 2018, IRG is comprised of over 40 locations and 450 employees. We provide a multitude of service offerings that put us at the forefront of outpatient rehabilitation in the Pacific Northwest.
