Joel grew up in the Pacific Northwest participating in sports and activities during all seasons. He has a background in both coaching and participating in swimming. He played club baseball in college and was a CrossFit coach for four years. Joel gained an interest in physical therapy in his late teens and early twenties while as a patient for many sports-related injuries and subsequent surgeries. Joel believes that everyone is an athlete and that everyone he treats should be an active participant in their recovery.
In his free time, Joel enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. You can find him taking his kids on hikes when the weather cooperates. From time to time, he will try to sneak away to the golf course as well.
