Raised on the Big Island of Hawai'i, Mae grew up playing soccer both on club and high school teams. After tearing her ACL her junior year of high school and going through physical therapy, she knew that helping others recover from injury and navigate their pain was her calling. Mae believes that movement is medicine, and outside of the clinic, you can catch her "shuffling," which is a foot work based dance style with her dance community in Seattle.
