Home Physical Therapy for Fall Prevention and Balance

Physical therapists are the healthcare experts for evaluating and treating the impairments that lead to falls. Steady Steps On-Demand will send a physical therapist to your home at your convenience to evaluate risk, recommend solutions and treat balance, falls, gait, and mobility issues.

Watch below to learn more about our Steady Steps On-Demand program:

How can Physical Therapy reduce falls?

Prolonged sitting, standing, and isolated repetitive muscle use often leave muscles weak, tight, and restricted. Our treatment plans with Steady Steps On-Demand will provide easy ways to incorporate a little extra movement throughout the day to reduce the risk of falls and improve balance.

Exercise is a key component to being in-tune with your body and lowering your chances of falling.

A daily exercise plan will improve your balance and strength and help keep your muscles flexible. Exercise can also help you feel better and build confidence.

How does Steady Steps work?

Developed by two of our leading clinicians, this program is specifically designed for people with balance, gait, mobility, and fall-related impairments, including patients who may have recently had surgery.

    1. Evaluation – Your doctor of physical therapy will perform a detailed evaluation of your home, your health, and your musculoskeletal system.
    2. Recommendation – Your therapist will then provide a recommendation for continued treatment, refer you to a specialist or medical doctor, and/or set you up with a manageable home exercise program and mobility strategies.
    3. Treatment – Your therapist may schedule continued home therapy with you. They will be with you every step of the way as you build confidence and strength!
